WHAT IS PIONEER INTERNATIONAL?
Pioneer International is the global arm of the Pioneer Network which seeks to connect and grow the relationships and partnership with churches and networks around the world.
Pioneer churches have always had a strong international vision and many churches within Pioneer have active and long-established working relationships with churches and Christian organisations in many parts of the world.
In recent years some of these relationships have developed to a point where the church or network have asked to join the Pioneer family. We are now developing a number of Pioneer international regions in Australia/New Zealand, Asia [India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh], East Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, Europe, Latin America and North America.
Pioneer Network Australia
Pioneer Network Australia has been connected to Pioneer since 2009, when it was ‘OzReach Network’. Now under the leadership of Linda Ward, Pioneer Network Australia seeks to support and encourage churches in Australia and New Zealand and outwork the values of Pioneer in the nation.
Pioneer Network USA
Pioneer Network USA is a network of churches based across a number of sates in the USA, including City Church in Russellville, Arkansas, who have been connected with Pioneer since 1979, and Revive Church in Hesperia, Michigan.
Pioneer Network Asia
Chabi Pathirana [Sri Lanka], Yohan Suresh [India], Muazzam John [Pakistan] and Nethan Wijesinghe [Sri Lanka] lead the network of Pioneer churches across Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Pioneer Network Zambia
Pioneer Zambia was formed in Zambia in 2021. Stephen Mwakabinga, based in Kitwe, leads the Core Team.
Pioneer Network West Africa
Andrew Lendor co-ordinates the work across West Africa with networks now functioning in Ghana. Liberia, Sierra Leone, Burkino Faso, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon and Guinea.
Pioneer partners in South Africa
We are working in partnership with Cliff Mthembu, leader of Power of God Assemblies, a network of around 70 churches across South Africa.
Pioneer partners in Cuba
Pioneer has been working with the Jesus Christ is King Network in Cuba. Alien Rojas established the network in 2013 and we have been supporting the work there since 2019.
Pioneer Latin America
In 2022 we launched Pioneer in Costa Rica. Eduardo Quesada leads the newly formed network with a vision to for similar networks in Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras and Panama.
School of Ministries
Pioneer International has developed a partnership with School of Ministries offering theological and leadership training for church leaders in the 2/3 world. The 36 modular training programme is accessible to everyone and flexible in its delivery.
